Welcome to my website!

My story and how it all began

I ´ve always enjoyed cooking and baking. When I was a little child, my grandma taught me in her kitchen and I just loved it. She showed me how to make a classic potato salad (and how to peel the potatoes right), how to make her famous "Frankfurter Kranz" cake and how to bake the best Christmas cookies ever. It was such a wonderful time and I was usually very curious to learn something new.
When I was about 12 years old, I started cooking on my own. As I came back home from school at lunch time (school is in Germany often from 8am to 1-2pm), I was hungry. Sometimes I´ve made myself frozen pizza, packet noodle soups, chicken nuggets or my mom has cooked something delicious. At some point, I decided to not rely on precooked food or my mums work anymore, but to cook for myself. I´ve studied the cookbooks we had at home and I´ve tried it out. From rice dishes to an Asian style beef veggie pan to baked frittata and ratatouille, I enjoyed cooking Sunday afternoon. Not every recipe turned out perfectly, but with time I was finding good recipes and cooking methods.

A real change happened – not just to me, but mostly for all, in 2020 during the Covid pandemic. As I had now a lot of time at home and I couldn´t go to my sports training, I started to do home workouts in my room. And with that I got interested in fitness diets. I reduced my sugar consume and replaced it with natural sweetened desserts such as stuffed dates, coconut sugar cookies or homemade banana bread.  I tried out other healthy recipes such as wholegrain pasta bowls, quinoa salads, tofu and hummus. So, my diet became even healthier than before. And during that time, I felt better, more energized, less tired and just happier with this new lifestyle.

In April 2021, I shared my first recipe on Instagram with many to follow. I´ve cooked a lot of recipes and over time my own ideas came up. During these years I changed my style and I´m still changing it today. Cooking and baking the same recipe, is not always the same – you may use different ingredients as the others are not at home anymore or you have a new idea. Until today the learning about healthy eating and cooking never stops.

At the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, I did an online formation about healthy eating and coaching other people to eat better. It was very interesting and I got a new perspective on foods and the industry behind it. However, for me learning about healthy eating and cooking never stops – there ´ll always come up something new.

Until today, besides the science of food and the health impacts, it´s for me most important that cooking and baking is fun. And I hope you´ll have that joy with my recipes too!

Love, Amy
