Spring Oat Cake
Spring is my favorite season of the year and that´s why I had to create an oat cake for this special time. A delicious cacao base symbolizes the brown ground whereas the avocado cream stands for the grass and leaves becoming green. And of course: some colorful plants can´t be missing! Let´s bring spring onto a plate!
Servings: 1
Time: 20 minutes
You need for the
… chocolate oat cake base:
½ banana
40g oats
1 tbsp raw cacao powder
150ml almond milk
50ml water
…green cream:
60g avocado
20g cashew butter
2 tsp coconut yoghurt
1-2 tsp agave syrup
¼ tsp vanilla
…toppings:
Green kiwi
Gold kiwi
Raspberries/Strawberries
Blueberries
Apple
Mango
Almonds
How to make:
1. The evening before, prepare the chocolate oat cake base. Break the banana into smaller chunks and mash it. Afterwards, add the oats, raw cacao powder, almond milk and water. Stir! Heat it up and then when it bubbles let it cook at middle heat. Stir it from time to time. Porridge is done? Then you can fill it into a bowl covered with cling film. Let it cool down and put it overnight in your fridge.
2. The next morning, make the green cream. Simply blend avocado, cashew butter, coconut yoghurt, agave syrup and vanilla until you have a smooth and creamy cream.
3. Cut your fruits and put your oat cake in reverse order onto a plate.
4. Now, add all of the avocado cream and spread it well. How to make a flower: green kiwi for the stem, golden kiwi as central flower, petals: apple, strawberry/raspberry, mango, blueberries, almonds for the ground.
5. Enjoy a beautiful oat cake!
