Fake Chicken

Want to try something new and special? Then make this fake style chicken. Ive used as basic ingredient tofu and chickpea flour. You can serve the fake chicken with a delicious dip or just some (vegan) yoghurt, veggies, a fresh salad or everything else you like! Let´s make meat the vegan style!

Servings: 2-3 (as side dish)
Time: 30 minutes

You need for the
...fake chicken:
150g tofu
50g chickpea flour
50g oats
7 tbsp water
1 tsp miso paste

...sauce:
1 ½ lemon (juice)
2 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves
2 tsp thyme
1 tbsp honey
Salt and pepper

How to make:
1. Put tofu, chickpea flour, oats, water and miso paste into your blender. Blend until you have a crumbly texture! Take out the crumble and form it to a dough. Next, make 4 pieces of your dough. Roll each part to a “sausage”. Cut it into smaller cubes.
2. Before you fry the fake chicken, you can heat up the chopped garlic for 2-3 minutes in the pan for some extra flavor. After remove the garlic,  use the pan again and fry the fake chicken for about 5-10 minutes.
3. Meanwhile squeeze the lemons. Mix it with the fried garlic, olive oil, thyme, honey, salt and pepper.
4. When your fake chicken is crispy and brown, add the marinade. After it´s well combined, turn off the heat. Serve it with whatever you desire and enjoy!
