Lemon Tofu With Carpers And Herbs
I love this new tofu recipe: it is so flavorful, so lemony, but not too sour! The perfect protein addition to your next bowl! My secret ingredient for the sauce is tapioca which makes the sauce stickier and therefore the sauce is really coating the tofu. You could serve it with some baked veggies, baked potatoes, cooked rice or quinoa...
Servings: 1 (as side dish)
Time: 20 minutes
You need for the
...lemony and herby tofu:
200g firm tofu
Juice and zest of 1 lemon
1-2 garlic cloves (pressed out with the help of a garlic press)
1-2 hands of chopped parsley
1 tbsp capers
1-2 tsp agave syrup
1 tsp tapioca starch
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper
How to make:
1. At very first, take your tofu and pressed out the water with the help of a kitchen towel or some kitchen paper. Then wash and chop your parsley and put it into a bowl.
2. Next, add to this bowl capers, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, agave syrup, olive oil, tapioca, salt and pepper. Mix it.
3. Afterwards continue with frying the tofu in a pan with some more olive oil for about 5-7 minutes.
4. When the tofu is gold-brown from the sides, add the sauce and combine. Now turn off the heat. Put the tofu to a bowl and enjoy!
